As Hull City battles to avoid relegation from the Championship, Nigel Adkins has been appointed as the team fifth coach in 17 months.
Previous Head Coach Leonid Slutsky left the club last Saturday after the team won only four of the 20 games he was in charge of.
Adkins has been given an 18 month contact in which he hopes to reverse the team’s poor campaign in the Sky Bet Championship table.
“The position we are in in the division is a relegation battle. Now we’ve got to change that around and win games of football.”
Fans are generally optimistic about the Tigers’ new recruitment although some have opined that he may not be the saviour that the club have hoped for.
#hcafc not bothered one bit what happens at Hull City but will just say if you set Nigel Adkins on ,you will go down . He’s fucking useless . Worst manager we have ever had . Trust me we have had some bad ones UTB #TwitterBlades

Others defended the new coach, citing his impressive record at previous clubs.
Many sneering at the possibility of Nigel Adkins’ appointment. He has four promotions within the last decade. I’m puzzled as to what else he needs on his CV? #hcafc
