Police issue warning of iTunes fraudsters

9 March 2017

Humberside Police have issued a warning of phone scammers in the region.

These scammers have supposedly called victims claiming to be representing HM Revenue & Customs, with one elderly man in Kirk Ella being threatened with arrest by these fraudsters unless he purchased £500 pounds of iTunes vouchers.

In a press release issued by Humberside Police, PC Katie Peach has urged people in the region to “to spend a moment speaking to their elderly relatives and make them aware of this so we can help protect those who may be at risk in our area.””
